The applicants, who are cousins, have filed the applications for quashing the First Information Reports (FIRs). According to both the complainants, the incident took place during the period of proceedings which was pending before the Court for heir-ship certificate of the cousin of non-applicant no. 2 in Criminal Application No. 158/2026 and in another case, the brother has lodged the complaint against the non-applicant no. 2 in the said case. 2.
During pendency of these matters, the matter is settled between the parties. The complainant in Criminal Application No. 158/2026 is personally present before the Court. She has stated that she has no objection to quash FIR against her brother. The complainant in another application viz. Criminal Application No. 1816/2025 appeared through video conferencing and has stated that
2 apl 158.26 & 1816.25 he has no objection to quash the FIR. The counter FIRs are filed by brother and sister against each other. As the matter is settled between the parties and they have no objection for quashing FIR, the applications are allowed. 3.
FIR Nos. 563/2025 and 686/2025 registered by Awadhutwadi Police Station, Tahsil and District Yavatmal and further the charge-sheet filed are quashed and set aside, subject to costs of Rs. 5,000/- to be paid by the applicants separately to the Public Welfare Account maintained with Union Bank of India, High Court Branch, Civil Lines, Nagpur bearing Account No.
129712010001014 and IFSC Code UBIN0812978 and to produce the receipt thereof on record within two weeks. 4.
Fees of learned counsel appointed for the applicant in Criminal Application No. 158/2026 be quantified and paid as per the rules.
