The applicants have filed this application for quashing the F.I.R., charge sheet and R.C.C. No.119/2026 arising out of Crime No.216/2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A and 417 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC). 2.
The non-applicant No.2 has lodged the complaint and crime is registered against the family members of the applicant No.1. 3.
During the pendency of this F.I.R. the matter is settled between the parties and the non-applicant No.2 and applicant No.1 has obtained divorce by mutual consent. In terms and conditions of said divorce petition, the non-applicant No.2 has agreed to give no objection for quashing the criminal proceedings against the applicant and his family members. Today the non-applicant No.2 is present before the Court and she has stated that the decree of divorce is passed on 12.3.2026. She has no objection for quashing the F.I.R. against these applicants.

As the non-applicant No.2 has no objection and she has filed an affidavit on record stating so, the F.I.R., charge sheet and R.C.C.
apl1007.2026.odt No.119/2026 for the offence punishable under Sections 498-A and 417 read with Section 34 of the IPC are quashed and set aside against the present applicants only subject to depositing costs of Rs.10,000/- by the applicants and Rs.10,000/- by the non-applicant No.2 with the Public Welfare Account maintained with Union Bank of India, High Court Branch, Civil Lines, Nagpur bearing Account No.129712010001014 and IFSC Code UBIN0812978 and producing the receipt thereof on record within three weeks. 5.
