The Registry has not placed the papers of the proceedings before the Court. Hence, in order to avoid inconvenience to the parties, the Court proceeded to hear the matter by accepting an additional copy from Ms. Poonam Bhosale, learned APP.

This is an application seeking extension of medical bail granted to the Applicant by order dated 14th November 2025.

Ms. Roohita Shaikh, learned counsel for the Applicant, submits that the surgery for which the Applicant was granted medical bail has been conducted and there is plaster on his hand. Hence, the Applicant requires further medical care in a private hospital. In these circumstances, she has sought an extension of time as deemed appropriate by the Court. 4.

Per contra, Ms. Poonam Bhosale, learned APP, submits that the surgery itself was an elective procedure and not an emergency. In any case, the Applicant has already taken treatment at J. J. Hosital, which is a Government Hospital and the Jail Authorities can take the prisoners to the said hospital. 5.

In these circumstances, I am not inclined to extend the medical bail for a period of two months as sought by learned counsel for the Applicant. However, considering that the Applicant has been operated on his arm, time of interim bail is extended by a period of two weeks from today.

On the last day of the second week, the Applicant is directed to surrender before Taloja Central Prison, Navi Mumbai on or before 5:00 p.m.

It is ordered accordingly.

Rest of the order remains as it is.

The Interim Application is partly allowed and disposed of accordingly.
