The Applicant seeks modification of clause (i) of paragraph 7 of the order dated 14th January 2024. Clause (i) of paragraph 7 sought to be modified reads thus: " i) The Applicant be enlarged on bail, on executing PR Bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- with one or two local sureties in the like amount."

Heard Ms. Salma Shaikh, learned counsel for the Applicant and Ms. Gauri Rao, learned APP.

Ms. Shaikh submits that the Applicant, being a permanent resident of Rajasthan, was unable to arrange local 26th February 2026

914-IA-644-2026.DOC sureties while in custody. Hence, she seeks release of the Applicant on cash bail for a period of four weeks. 4.

Considering that the order enlarging the Applicant on bail was passed on 14th January 2026 and that the Applicant is still in custody for want of local sureties, I am inclined to permit the Applicant to be released on cash bail for a period of four weeks, after which he shall comply with clause (i) of the said order.

Till such time as the Applicant furnishes sureties as per the order, he shall attend the police station concerned on every Monday of the second week of the month between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

The Interim Application is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
