This is an Application made by the Applicant seeking extension of time to furnish surety.

Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that since the Applicant could not furnish surety directed as per order dated 1st July 2025 passed in Bail Application No.2465 of 2025, by Order dated 14th January, 2026 the Applicant was directed to be released on cash bail. He however required to furnish surety within a period of four weeks from 14th January, 2026. He submits that the Applicant was unable to secure sureties and hence prays that six weeks' time be granted.

Learned APP though opposes the application, he was unable to give any justifying reason for rejecting the application. 27th March, 2026.

In the interest of justice, time to furnish surety stands extended by six weeks with a clarification that no further extension will be granted.

The Interim Application is allowed in the above terms and is disposed.
