This Interim Application was mentioned today at 11.00 a.m. on the ground of urgency as mentioned in the praecipe dated 06.03.2026. The said praecipe is taken on record and marked as "X" for identification. In view of the urgency sought to be put forth by Ms. Pooja Bhide, learned Advocate for the Applicant/Petitioner, circulation was granted post lunch.

This matter was taken up after the "Fresh Admission Board". 3.

Heard Ms. Pooja Bhide, learned Advocate for the

Applicant/Petitioner.

Ms. Pooja Bhide, learned Advocate for the Petitioner states that by order dated 17.02.2026 passed in Criminal Writ Petition No. 335 of 2026, this Court had directed the Petitioners to deposit an amount of Rs. 25,000/- in the account of Central Police Welfare Fund, Mumbai within a period of 2 weeks. She submits that on account of a bonafide mistake, the Petitioners instead of depositing the amount of Rs. 25,000/- in the account of Central Police Welfare Fund, Mumbai, has deposited the said amount in the account of The High Court Employees Medical Welfare Fund at Mumbai, within time prescribed.

Mr. Tanveer Khan, learned A.P.P. for the State/Respondent submits that the Petitioners having deposited the cost of Rs. 25,000/-, though in a wrong account, the said lapse can be condoned.

In view of the above, the amount of Rs. 25,000/- deposited by the Petitioners in The High Court Employees Medical Welfare Fund at Mumbai is treated as the payment of costs, as ordered by the order dated 17.02.2026.

In view of the above, the Interim Application No. 789 of 2026 is allowed in terms of the prayer clause (i). 8.

In view of the deposit of cost of Rs. 25,000/- by the Petitioners in the account of The High Court Employees Medical Welfare Fund within time prescribed, the same would amount to compliance of the order dated 17.02.2026.

Interim Application No. 789 of 2026 is disposed of in the above said terms.

Time to file compliance Affidavit is extended by two weeks from today.
