This Interim Application is circulated pursuant to the praecipe dated 09 April 2026, same is taken on record and marked as "X" for identification.

In view of the urgency expressed in the praecipe ("X") filed by Mr. Darshan Patankar, learned Advocate for the Applicant, this Interim Application is taken up on the production board.

Mr. Darshan Patankar, learned Advocate for the Applicant, states that due to personal difficulties faced by the earlier Advocate for the Applicant, who was supposed to file an Appeal before the Sessions Court having jurisdiction, the
(502) IA-1204.26.DOCX Appeal remained unfilled within the two week period permitted by the order dated 07 March 2026 passed in Criminal Writ Petition No.797 of 2026. She therefore requests an extension of time until 16 April 2026 for filing the said Appeal.

Mrs. P. P. Bhosale, learned APP for the Respondent/State, does not oppose the requests made by Mr. Darshan Patankar, learned Advocate for the Applicant.

Mr. Nirav Shroff, learned Advocate for Respondent No. 2, opposes the request made by Mr. Darshan Patankar, learned Advocate for the Applicant.

In view of the statement made by the Applicant in the Application and the statement made by Mr. Darshan Patankar, learned Advocate for the Applicant, in the interest of justice, this Application is allowed. The time for filing the Appeal, as granted by the order dated 07 March 2026, is extended till 17 April 2026.

It is clarified that in the event the Appeal is not filed on or before 17 April 2026, the benefit extended in the order dated 07 March 2026 shall stand automatically revoked. 8.
