This is a Petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ("the Act"), seeking an extension of mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal, which expired on January 18, 2026. 2.

In these circumstances, taking into account the stage at which the arbitral proceedings are placed, this Petition is finally disposed of extending the mandate of the Learned Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year, rounding it up until April 1, 2027. It is made clear that consenting to the extension of mandate by the Respondent would not prejudice his entitlements claimed in respect of his application under Section 13 of the Act having been rejected by the Learned Arbitral Tribunal.
