Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the present, the petitioner would be satisfied if this Court disposes of the petition by directing the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to decide the representation dated 05/01/2026 in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner invited our attention to the order dated 26/10/2023 whereby the appeal preferred by him is

Bhogale 904.wpl-10070-2026.odt decided in his favour and he was held to be eligible. Mr.Shinde, learned counsel for respondent no.1 on instructions submits that the representation dated 05/01/2026 will be decided as expeditiously as possible.

In such view of the matter, we direct the respondent no.1 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 05/01/2026 as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of communication of this order. The petitioner to remain present before respondent no.1 along with copy of this order on 17/04/2026 at 11:00 a.m. 4.

In the light of paragraph 4 of the order dated 26/10/2023, the competent authority of SRA will have to take necessary steps. The steps be taken within a period of 4 weeks from today. 5.
