& GAUTAM A. ANKHAD, J.
DATE : 9th JUNE, 2026 P.C. :- 1.
Heard the learned Advocates for the respective sides. 2.
The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that the pending proceeding before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), lodged in 2016 and bearing Consumer Case No.1280 of 2016, has already been listed in the category of final hearing since 2021. There is no legal impediment for proceeding with the final hearing of the said matter. Gauri Gaekwad
904.WP-2574-2026.odt 3.
The learned Advocate for the contesting Respondent No.2 submits that he would not oppose a final hearing before the National Commission and there is no impediment in proceeding with the final hearing of the said matter.
4.
In view of the above, and considering the passage of 10 years of the pendency of the proceedings before the National Commission, and keeping in view that the said case has already been listed in the category of final hearing in 2021, we would appreciate it if the NCDRC proceeds to deal with Consumer Case No.1280 of 2016 finally, within a period of 90 days, considering the fact that the Petitioners have already tendered their final written submissions in 2021 and Respondent No.2 has tendered its final written submissions in 2024. As such, a formal hearing may be conducted within 30 days from today and the NCDRC may endeavor to deliver a final judgment within 60 days thereafter. 5.
With the above request, this Petition is disposed off. (GAUTAM A. ANKHAD, J.) (ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Gauri Gaekwad
