By this Chamber Order, the Applicant / Plaintiff seeks liberty to serve the Writ of Summons upon the following Defendants by way of substituted service as per the schedule annexed to the Chamber Order.

(1) Jayashree Mohanti, Defendant No. 5 (2) Anjan Sarkar, Defendant No. 7 (3) Nikhil Garg, Defendant No. 8 (4) Pratim Chatterjee, Defendant No. 9 (5) Partha Ghosh, Defendant No. 10 (6) Sayantani Sarkar, Defendant No. 11 (7) Biplab Das, Defendant No. 12 (8) Sushami Pal, Defendant No. 13 (9) Suraj Singh, Defendant No. 14 (10) Kartik Das, Defendant No. 15 2.

Perused the Affidavit in support. Ld. Advocate for the Applicant submits that, the writ of summons sent for service upon the abovenamed Defendants through the Sheriff of Bombay could not be served. She further submits that, the Bailiff of Sheriff of Bombay has filed affidavits of service dated 6th January 2026 and 20th February 2026. She, therefore, prays that, the Chamber Order

be allowed and the Plaintiff be permitted to serve the Writ of Summons upon (i) Defendant No. 5 by way of substituted service i.e. to publish the Writ of Summons in two newspapers viz. "Times of India" in English Language and in "Sambad" in vernacular language i.e. Odia, widely circulated at Bhubaneshwar in the State of Orissa, and (ii) Defendant Nos.5 and 7 to 15 by way of substituted service i.e. to publish the Writ of Summons in two newspapers viz. "The Telegraph" in English Language and in "Ananda Bazar Patrika " in vernacular language i.e. Bengali, widely circulated at Kolkata in the State of West Bengal, and also by pasting of Writ of Summons on a conspicuous part at the last known address of the abovenamed Defendant Nos.5 and 7 to 15. 3.

For the reasons stated in the affidavit in support, the Chamber Order is allowed and the same is signed separately. Applicant is directed to publish the Writ of Summons as per the Schedule annexed to the Chamber Order by way of substituted service of Writ of Summons upon abovenamed Defendants, within four weeks from the date of uploading this Order. Applicant to file the affidavit of service within two weeks thereafter. 4.

Registry is directed to issue fresh Writ of Summons, if required.
